Home away from Home is a event wherein every year during winter 1000+ interested students stay
overnight in the school campus along with their peers and teachers. The event offers numerous benefits and different age-groups of the students are benefited differently. During the event various games, performances and activities were organized.
To provide students a rich fun- filled exposure and to develop various essential skills like group behavioral, self-management, self- discipline and self- independence SOA organised Home away from Home on 23.12.23 with great mirth and gaiety.
Home away from Home provides students exposure to reside in School Campus independently in absence of parental supervision . Activities like fun fair games, animal ride, sky gazing, magic show, cultural programme along with the ignition of two large pyramid fire which eventually brightened the atmosphere. Students gathered and enjoyed the cosy feeling of the night from the pyramid fire.
As the fire cooled down students made their way back to spend their time with their class teacher and it helps them to open up to each other , take care of belongings and to socialize with the friends. All the activities were designed to create connections and build bonds. Students were overwhelmed with joy. Home away from Home draws in us with its magic and heat, encouraging conversation, music and intimacy in this digital age and it pulls us back together and helps us reconnect – with each other while cherishing the winter season and observing the night and nature. Home away from Home created many memories to be cherished forever.
